René Magritte

This year marks the 125th anniversary of René Magritte's birth. Brussels invited the French street artist Julien de Casabianca to mark the occasion by painting enlarged elements from Magritte's works on houses in the city centre.

The works will be on display for a limited time, so this guided tour is only available until January 7, 2024.

Magritte was not only an exciting painter, his works pleasantly charming, but he lived an equally intriguing life. He is considered one of the leading surrealists of the last century, and his works have inspired other artists and appear regularly in pop culture.

The murals lead us through the city centre and give us a new experience and view of the city. We end the tour at a bar that Magritte and his companions frequented at the time.

Meeting point: Place de Brouckere

Metro station: De Brouckere

Tram/bus station: De Brouckere

Duration: 2,5 h

Price: 40 EUR

Minimum participation of 6 people

Wonderful tour!

We had such a good time on our tour with Stella. She is such a nice person and knows everything you need to know about Burssels. Her tour is a great way to understand the city better with your own personal guide. I would 100% recommend Stellar Walks to anyone and I am definitely going on a another tour with her when I come back to Brussels :)
